Celtics star Jaylen Brown teaches Naz Reid a tough lesson with tough and -1
Jaylen Brown hit a tough fastbreak and-1 over Naz Reid in the Celtics’ win over the Timberwolves. He then had words for Minnesota’s big man while celebrating and in the squabble, Naz got hit with a technical.
The Celtics grabbed the rebound and immediately pushed the ball up the floor. Grant Williams found Jaylen Brown with a lane to the rim, and the young wing used his veteran savvy to draw contact from Reid trying to stop the fastbreak. Reid contested the proceeding shot well, but the good defense was answered with better offense by Brown to score the bucket.
Despite Brown extending the Celtics’ lead to 9 with the shot, he went on to miss the free throw. This allowed Minnesota to recover and go into the halftime break with a 2-point lead against the defending eastern conference champions. Brown had the last laugh over the Timberwolves though.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are among the great NBA duos

The Boston Celtics have what every NBA team desires. A duo of 2-way superstar wings. Tatum and Brown are two of the most prolific scorers in the NBA and also 2 of the premier wing defenders.
Brown, 26, and Tatum, 24 have already led the Celtics to 3 Eastern Conference Finals, converting 2022 into an NBA finals appearance. Neither is in their prime yet and the Celtics will surely be a juggernaut in the league as long as they stay together. The tweet below is glimpse into just how good they already are.
That was the 17th regular-season game in which both Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum scored 30+ points, which pushes them past Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen into 3rd place all-time for most 30-point games by teammates. pic.twitter.com/vepPJ2rb6l

Boston hit a slight slump over the last 2 weeks. Their offense completely fell off a cliff, however, a deeper look tells us that a lot of it is down to bad 3-point shooting. Over the last 7 games, the Celtics are shooting 29% from 3, well below the league average. They are 2-5 in that stretch. As long as the shooting goes back to normal, Celtics fans shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
