“There’s no punishment,” Unhappy Charles Barkley feels RACIST Robert Sarver getting $4 billion after selling the Phoenix Suns isn’t right

Charles Barkley sounded off on Robert Sarver after the Phoenix Suns were sold off to a new owner. The deal took place two days ago. Mat Ishbia, the biggest mortgage lender in the United States, agreed to buy the franchise for a whopping $4 billion. But the former Phoenix Suns MVP had some words said against the previous owner based on his awful history.

Sarver was forced to sell the team by the NBA following accusations of misconduct and racism. He purchased the team in 2004, which was worth $400 million at that time. Over the years, the Phoenix Suns popularized themselves in the market with their success, especially after reaching the finals back in 2021.

Charles Barkley’s argument was set on Sarver getting $4 billion despite his wrongdoings, without any sort of penalty or punishment. He blasted Sarver on live television saying, “For him to pay $400 million for a team, do really, really bad things behind the scenes, and they force him to sell it, and he gets $4 billion dollars? I want that deal. There’s not a single person in the world that’s not like ‘Wait a minute, where is the punishment?’ There’s no punishment.”

Charles Barkley further ranted, “And there’s not a single person watching this show, there’s not a person behind these cameras that says, ‘I got a business and it’s worth $400 million, and I was harassing women, being racist at work,’ and they’re like ‘Well, we don’t want you around here anymore, we’re gonna give you $4 billion dollars… Hey, I love the NBA, it’s given me every single thing in my life. But this is not right man. This is not right, period.”

The Phoenix Suns are in new hands as the CEO of United Wholesale Mortgages, Mat Ishbia agreed to buy the Pheonix Suns and Phoenix Mercury franchises earlier this week. According to the Financial Times, the NBA is yet to approve his offer to buy both teams from Sarver.

He will also get more than 50% of ownership from this deal. Upon approval, the deal would be the biggest ever purchase made in the history of the league. Both teams are already on a very good path, especially the Suns led by Devin Booker along with the assistance of Chris Paul. Booker has been exceptional on offense this season averaging 28 points per game.
