Charles Barkley was stunned and couldn’t even describe himself properly when he was discussing the mass shooting that happened in Texas at NBA on TNT alongside the crew of Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson, and Shaquille O’Neal. An 18-year-old gunman who is identified as Salvador Ramos was behind the tragic and horrific incident which took place at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, United States. 21 people lost their innocent life to the open fire started by Salvador Ramos. Nineteen of those twenty-one innocent and unfortunate people were children who just went there to study and learn something new. Charles Barkley was really disturbed knowing about the incident as he and every other analyst on the table has grandchildren going to school.

The police department has also reported that Salvador Ramos was alone and is now dead and he also shot his own grandmother before executing the mass shooting at the elementary school. He was armed with a gun an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle with high capacity ammunition magazines and was also wearing a body armour. He crashed his car outside the school and then rushed in to open fire as he shot anyone and everyone who came in his way.

Charles Barkley isn’t on any social media platforms but you’ll find him standing up with a strong and bold voice every time anything wrong has made the headlines. He has raised his voice many times before too and even this time he was shocked but strong enough to quote on it with facts and try to make a difference. Charles Barkley has always said what he felt is right and welcomed controversies throughout his career and this time he did the same as he felt the pain on a personal level as even he is a parent and a grandparent to someone.

Charles Barkley discussing the unfortunate incident with his NBA on TNT crew as the Dallas Mavericks took over the Golden State Warriors quoted: “It’s tough man. I never wanna get numb to it because you got grandkids, I got grandkids, you got young kids, I got young kids. You send them to school…you never use to think when you send them to school that something bad was gonna happen…now it’s happening years later and it’s just heartbreaking. In my thoughts, I am with all those parents out there and grandparents. Man because you send your kids to school they are supposed to be safe…think about it Ernie sometimes it used to be like well they got caught in the wrong place in wrong time. School is never the wrong place… it’s just a sad day for our country.”

Every word Charles Barkley said made sense and many agree with it too. Prayers go out to all those families who lost their innocent loved ones and may their souls rest in peace. After all such stars like Charles Barkley and especially Steve Kerr have come out to stand against it the government should really listen to them and especially their suggestions and rethink on the process of gun sales in America as it plays an important role in the increased violence and crime.
