Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley has made up his mind and it favors the Basketball world. As Chuck has decided to stay on “NBA on TNT” and this time it’s an official statement. He has also ended all types of words he was exchanging with LIV Golf to get an offer. So it’s fair to say that Charles Barkley stayed loyal to Turner and now we’ll get at least more three years of his on TNT with his mate Shaquille O’Neal. As he is under contract with TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA’ for three more years and $30 million.

Charles Barkley joining hands with the Controversial Saudi-Backed LIV Golf League was looking like a done deal but now things have changed. As it’s them who messed it all up. Charles Barkley made the deadline for an offer very clear and even warned the Golf League as appearing on “The Dan Patrick Show” he quoted: “When I leave New Jersey Thursday night, when I leave the golf course, if I don’t have an offer in hand, it’s over.” That’s all now really over and he really meant when he said that Turner is his real priority so he proved himself as an real one but again an offer was never made to him.

Charles Barkley was ready to get shipped across if his salary was tripled and he really did deserve that money. As joining the controversial Saudi-Backed LIV Golf League would have brought in many issues for him. But now he doesn’t have to worry about them as he himself has ended it all. But unfortunately, he lost the bag. Still, he’ll be hooked up with his commercials throughout so him being strong on the financial end is very sure.

Charles Barkley in his recent interview with Andrew Marchand of the New York Post made his decision of staying with Turner public. As he quoted: “I want to thank Greg Norman and LIV for their interest in me. I wish those guys great success and nothing but the best. But, in my best interest, and being fair to Turner because Turner and basketball have given me every single thing in my life. It is best for me to move on and I’m staying with Turner for the rest of my TV career.”

Further detailing more about the decision Charles Barkley said: “My number one priority is to be fair to Turner and my sponsors, to be honest with you. I couldn’t just keep them holding on so I made up my mind [Thursday] night. I was like, ‘Make a decision and live with it.’” He also mentioned how he didn’t bring Turner into the conversation as he didn’t want them to get into a bidding war and now it’s a done deal as he’ll stick with them for the rest of his T.V career. But what he opts for after the contract is over is very uncertain. As he’ll be choosing a well-deserved and earned vacation over just sitting in Turner’s studio and decaying on Television. Since he believes he is aging and is almost 60.
