“Steve Nash is a scapegoat” – Charles Barkley sounds off on “idiots and fools” Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant for Brooklyn Nets disaster
Charles Barkley sounds off on Steve Nash firing
Charles Barkley believes Brooklyn Nets firing Steve Nash was just a facade to hide the problems caused by the superstars of the organization, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and Ben Simmons.
Not long ago the Brooklyn Nets organization fired head coach Steve Nash. For NBA spectators, this decision was long coming and was only a matter of time before this bomb dropped. Following the displeasure expressed by the stars of the team toward Steve Nash, the decision from the Brooklyn Nets side isn’t too surprising.
Charles Barkley, former NBA player, and current broadcaster at NBA on TNT believes firing Nash does not help the situation at Brooklyn. “Steve Nash is a scapegoat for these players acting like idiots and fools,” said Barkley in a recent episode of the popular show. The coaches have always been the easiest targets for organizations when things aren’t going their way.
“You let these players run this man off his job because they were acting like fools. This is all on Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons,” added Barkley calling out the superstars of the organization. Even the fans have started to grow impatient about the stars of the Nets organization causing chaos in the team.

Kevin Durant passes Charles Barkley in free throws to move into 15th place in NBA history
On October 27th, Brooklyn Nets faced the Dallas Mavericks at home. The visiting won against the star-studded Nets by 4 points in a very close game. Kevin Durant, who scored 37 points also shot two free throws which helped him pass the legendary Charles Barkley on the all-time list for free throws.
KD now has 6350 career free throws in the NBA while Barkley scored a total of 6349 free throws. KD is now in the 15th place for all-time free throws in NBA history. He now is behind the legendary Allen Iverson who has 6375 in his playing career. Barkley and KD have been very shaky in their relationship.
In his time as a broadcaster, Charles “Chuck” Barkley has aimed at KD on several different occasions and the Brooklyn Nets star has not held back any words either. The two have constantly gone back and forth and Durant has clearly expressed his dissent towards many criticisms from the former NBA player. It will be interesting to see what KD has to say about Barkley’s recent comments.
