”Kyrie Irving simply walked out on LeBron” Chris Broussard believes a LeBron James – Kyrie Irving reunion is not going to happen

Chris Broussard feels Kyrie is not coming to the Lakers
This offseason is proving to be a wild ride already, with Kyrie Irving decided to opt into his $36.5 million player option for the 2022-23 season, thus delaying his free agency for another year. However, this does not prevent the Nets superstar from joining the Lakers and reuniting with his former teammate and good friend, Lebron James. With multiple reports already suggesting that Kyrie wants to be in LA with the Lakers, Chris Broussard believes the move is not gonna happen. He believes the prospect of Lebron reuniting with Uncle Drew after the latter’s impromptu exit from the Cleveland Cavaliers is virtually non-existent.
Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have been at the fore of that disappointment and mockery, the star leaders of a club, that on paper could have reached The Finals. Last January, the Nets brought James Harden to the already existing duo of Kyrie Irving and KD. This year, they were forced to trade him, as they plummeted from the #2 seed to barely getting a play-in spot, and got swept in the first round. All this has led to people questioning the future for the Brooklyn duo, and its doesn’t seem so bright, as Kevin Durant is asking for a trade and Kyrie Irving inching closer to the Lakers.
“I’m not feeling this” – Chris Broussard believes that the Kyrie Irving – Lebron James reunion is not happening anytime soon.

The Lakers are getting all the limelight this postseason, as they get to work with the newly appointed, Darvin Ham as their new Head Coach for the 2022-2023 season. The Los Angeles Lakers star-studded team not making into the playoffs was and has been one of the biggest talking points in and around the world of NBA.
With One of the All-Time Greats, Lebron James himself, and two future Hall of Famers in Anthony Davis and freshly traded, Russell Westbrook, the Lakers looked scary on paper, not so much on court. The Lakers are pushing for a Lebron James reunion with Kyrie Irving which would lead to the Lakers sacrificing draft picks to prioritize that deal.
While fans wait curiously for news of Irving’s possible trade to the Lakers being actualized, Chris Broussard believes that all these talks are just false rumors which will amount to nothing. Broussard said the six-time All-Star could not afford Lebron the opportunity, as he left Lebron stranded in Cleveland while he went to Boston.
“Kyrie walked out on LeBron,” Broussard said. “It’s not like Kyrie was just following behind LeBron like a puppy dog doing whatever he wanted. He left there after winning a championship, and LeBron wanted to meet with him, and Kyrie didn’t give him the time and the date. Kyrie is so mercurial, so unpredictable that, who’s to say six week into the season he wouldn’t turn on LeBron? I’m not feeling this.”
The Westbrook trade was Lebron’s Brainchild and it has not worked out in any manner or form, now the reports of Kyrie to Lakers have emerged with Lebron James pushing for a reunion with Kyrie Irving. This has led to a lot of people losing faith in Lebron’s selfless nature, as they slam him for pushing for Kyrie, despite the Lakers being in a precarious position, with 3 superstars on the team already.
Even while Kyrie Irving has decided to opt into his $36.5 million player option for the 2022-23 season, thus delaying his free agency for another year. Brooklyn has reportedly been unwilling to offer Irving a full max extension without financial concessions from Irving, like incentives or non-guaranteed years. However, he can still join the Lakers by opting out of the last year on his contract and signing for them through their $6 million taxpayer midlevel exception or picking up his player option and having L.A. and Brooklyn engineer a trade that would send him to California.

The Lakers had a drastically poor record of 33-49 , as they move on from this nightmarish season , they will have to make plenty of moves to get back on track. As LeBron gets ready for the upcoming season, the team will have to give him more reinforcements to bring back the legacy of the Lakers. Moreover, he has to solve the disparities between him and the management to ensure a smooth season where he can focus on the court more, rather than off it.
It’s certainly a triple-double of problems, problems and more problems for the Nets as they face plenty of questions financially and technically. From figuring out a way for the team to get over the lows and win a championship, the team also has to take care of the business side and make sure they can continuously support the franchise financially to keep competing in the future. As for Kyrie, will he unite with his Cavaliers teammate, Lebron, remains to be seen !
