James Harden routed himself to be called one of the most offensively talented players of all-time. He is a former league MVP of the 2018-19 season who averaged 30.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game and the very next season he averaged 36.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. He is also a three-time scoring champion and led the league in assists in 2017.

After all that he has achieved during his career, the beard is still struggling to find his into winning a championship. The player found himself playing alongside his OKC teammate Kevin Durant under contract with the Brooklyn Nets. Unfortunately, his stint with the team would come to an end after one and a half years following Kyrie Irving’s absence.

James Harden made the decision to leave the Nets in February after he felt they were not serious enough about winning a title. He took a drastic turn away from being the usual scoring path and took over facilitating just like his time coming off the bench for the Thunder. He averaged 24.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 10.9 assists per game in his first season with team but only played 36 games after being traded mid-season from the Houston Rockets.

This past season he averaged 22.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game with the Nets before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange of Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond. His game would depreciate further by only putting up 21 points and 7.1 rebounds while staying the same in facilitation. He averaged below 20 points in the playoffs and this affected the Sixers who were suffering without Joel Embiid due to an injury.

Chris Russo criticizes James Harden’s choice of money over legacy

James Harden declined a player extension offered by the Sixers in hopes of getting a larger max contract as a free agent. He plans on resigning with the team however. Chris “Mad Dog” Russo felt that Harden’s thirst for money will not do justice for his legacy. “We have to be fair to this too, with Harden, he shouldn’t be worried about money. They should be worried about the scenario 20 years from now.

“Nobody will remember how much money he made. How about winning a championship? Too many athletes say, ‘Okay, let me get mine and let them worry about what they can put up with.’ LeBron, he wants $97 million or whatever he’s eligible for? How about taking less, so the Lakers can add components to the team. Because at the end of the day it’s about winning championships. That’s all its about. That and legacy.”
