Cleveland Cavaliers open to signing LeBron James for a reunion
After winning the NBA title in 2020, LeBron James had two very underwhelming seasons and missed out on the playoffs games last season. The Lakers barely had chemistry, leadership or depth on their roster. Several moves have been made signing veteran Patrick Beverley and current champion Juan Toscano Anderson.
The fresh talent on the roster could possibly give them the motivation they need and newly appointed head coach Darvin Ham claims to have plans with Russell Westbrook. If the situation goes well, LA could be a serious threat in the Western Conference.
Bron signed a $97.1 million two-year contract extension with the team in August. In 2025, he will enter free agency at the age of 40. Reporter Chris Fedor said, “I think they’d be open to it on their own terms, under the right terms. Terms that are very different from the ones he came back to in 2014. He wants to be at the center of everything and have a team built around his strengths and things along those lines.”
He concluded saying that chances of this reunion happening are very slim as the Cavs are not satisfied with their direction. LeBron James could potentially reunite with the franchise if the rumors around Bronny James coming Cleveland becomes reality. Take a look at fans sharing their stance on this possibility via Twitter.
