Colin Cowherd recently made it to the headlines as he took a wild shot at Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving for falling short against the Boston Celtics. The Brooklyn Nets have already been on a roller-coaster since the start of the season but now things are better and back on track for them. As they have made it to the postseason and are going all in and against of the Jayson Tatum-led Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. But still, the duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving hasn’t been successful in registering a win against the Celtics so far in the series. The Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets have clashed for three times and the Celtics are leading by 3-0 with a great chance of sweeping the Brooklyn Nets out and getting their revenge done. Colin Cowherd though discussing the Game 2 decided to speak out on it as he had his words backed up by examples and he blamed head coach Steve Nash for the failure so far.

Every match-up in the series has been a closely contested and head-to-head one. But the Celtics are always successful in outshining the Nets as they get the dub in the end. The young duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown with Marcus Smart the DPOY in the backcourt is so far been the better match-up if compared to the duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving aren’t able to break in the defensive end of the Boston Celtics as they are getting their shots blocked and closely contested with some physical plays. All these strats by the Celtics have limited the scoring end of the Brooklyn Nets and now they are one game away from wrapping their season up.

Colin Cowherd on his podcast “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” was very critical of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as he thinks things won’t work out if the players continued to play the game in the same way. He also brought in some legendary and sensible examples to get his words correct. Colin Cowherd also had his fingers up and pointed towards Steve Nash the head coach.

Colin Cowherd discussing the Brooklyn Nets in regard to the duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving quoted: “There’s a reason Golden State, and the Bulls, and the Showtime Lakers worked; people sacrificed of themselves. Kareem and Magic had to figure out totally different personalities, how do we give to ourselves and of ourselves… Draymond Green, Steph Curry selfless, plans, able to be coached and be coached hard, to be confrontational and work through problems. Let’s be totally frank, the Brooklyn Nets is a massive failure…KD and Kyrie, they kind of rolled their eyes at the rest of the league. They leaned into being villains, but they’re lousy villains… These guys are terrible villains. 10 minutes into the movie they got foiled…They have no plan, they didn’t want to be coached…The great coaches hide your flaws… They don’t have a plan and I’m not sure they want a plan. I’m not sure they want a coach.”

Colin Cowherd is not wrong with the words he said. As the Nets aren’t really moving out of the box they are stuck in where their superstars get limited and the team fails to get a dub. All these surely hints at the coach, as Steve Nash isn’t really drawing out many plays to free out Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to get some buckets or maybe they are the one not letting him draw those. The series is still on and remaining with the Celtics leading by 3-0 and having a real chance to sweep out the Nets at their home arena of Barclays Center. But still many around the league are heavy with their belief of Kevin Durant turning the series around and winning it all for the Nets.
