“Luxury Pro Max at TD Garden” Courtside fan gets cushion extension only to watch Game 5 action behind 7’6 inches tall Tacko Fall

Everyone in Boston loves Tacko Fall, but nobody would want to the one sitting behind him! A hard-to-miss visitor was in attendance at TD Garden, as Boston Celtics took locked horns with Milwaukee Bucks in Game 5 of the series. Fall was not on the floor on Wednesday night, but that didn’t stop him from supporting his former teammates as they try to take edge past Milwaukee. The pivot was on the edge of the field, enough to spoil the evening for other fans behind him, including one in particular. Fortunately, everyone took it with a smile, or almost!

The 26-year old giant, averaged 2.7 points over 26 games for the Celtics over the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons and also appeared in 29 games for Boston’s G-League affiliate in Maine. The Celtics didn’t bring him back for the 2021-22 season, instead allowing Fall to sign a two-way deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers. However he only made 11 NBA game appearances for the Cavs, averaging just 1.1 points, before he was waived and re-assigned to Cleveland’s G-League affiliate.

Tacko Fall reunited with Celtics

Tacko Fall with Jayson Tatum

Even when he is no longer in the NBA today, Tacko Fall makes the Cavaliers happy with his performances in the G-League. However, he also continues to cheer up his former teammates, the Celtics, in full confrontation against the Bucks in this second round of the playoffs. The the outcome of this Game 5 must not have pleased him, since Boston lost after a mad block from Jrue Holiday in the dying seconds, giving Bucks the marginal victory by 110-107 in Game 5.

However, another detail particularly amused the fans during this match was Fall blocking shot, just off court. Indeed, it is not easy to live behind the 2m29 of the big man, which lacks a bit of experience on the floor. The cameras are quickly overwhelmed by this strange situation, and that must have been awful for the fan. It is known that courtside seats cost a ton of money, so sitting behind the 7-footer would be what anyone would ideally want.

The fan can glimpse at a part of the match, but she will have to spend the 48 minutes bending over to see something, while in turn annoying the fans behind her. Very clearly, this was not the right place to attend this Game 5, even if Tacko tried to correct the situation. A few minutes later, the staff brought a cushion to the person to sort it all out… or almost.

Indeed, and as we can see at the end of the following video, the happiness of some is the misfortune of others. Once the supporter’s case was settled, it was the person behind her who could no longer see anything, a never ending misery when watching a game in the same arena as Tacko Fall. Fair to say that the game had lot of blocks going on !

Despite such a limited role with the Celtics, Fall was and remains beloved in the city. With starting center Robert Williams III out of the lineup again in Game 5, are we sure Fall couldn’t at least pick up six fouls for the Celtics as they try and contain Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo? While Tacko may or may not hit the floor tonight, he sure made some memorie in TD Garden tonight!
