“I don’t have much of a life!” ‘Dejected’ Damian Lillard discloses life in Milwaukee after trade from Trail Blazers has been ‘lonely’

After spending more than a decade with the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in September 2023. While Dame Time has been amazing for his new team on the court, the player is not quite happy with his life off it.
Lillard has gone through some major changes in the last few months. Recently, in an interview with Sports Illustrated, the guard shared his feelings about his life after the trade. The 33-year-old said:
Go to practice, go home, watch boxing, play video games. Man, I type in [boxing website] FightHype on YouTube 100 times and be praying for something new to be on there. Seriously, I don’t have much of a life.Damian Lillard on life off-the court

Being a family man, and his whole family living in Portland has made the transition difficult for the player. Staying away from his kids, mom, and friends has resulted in feeling lonely for Lillard. He added:
So, I mean, I’m fine because I’m grown. But it’s definitely lonely. I’m filled up by those people.Damian Lillard on loneliness
Lillard has been a great addition for the Bucks. His pairing with Giannis Antetokounmpo could be special in the future. Lillard is averaging 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists with 42.5FG% in his first season for the team. The Bucks are currently the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference rankings.
Damian Lillard addresses struggles with divorce and the trade
Earlier this month, Damian Lillard opened up about his mental struggles after joining the Bucks in the middle of a divorce. The star’s life was changed drastically as in a matter of days, the player filed for a divorce after two years of marriage. And he was switching cities as the player got traded.

In an interview with Yahoo, Lillard talked about the transition and playing with the new team. He added:
People say, ‘When I hoop I ain’t thinking about nothing,' but I’m not 21. I got three kids. I’m tight with my family and I’m going through a divorce.Damian Lillard said
The guard also talked about leaving Portland after eleven years and revealed wanting to win a championship with the team. Although the Trail Blazers made it to the playoffs several times, they couldn’t really capitalize on their performances in the progressing rounds.
