Damian Lillard after a while is back in the headlines and it isn’t because of his exchange or interaction with the Portland Trailblazers but the biggest fashion night Met Gala. The 2022 Met Gala took place on Monday night with many celebrities and media personalities in attendance for an annual fundraising gala held for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. Damian Lillard wasn’t impressed with the fits at the event maybe because he has a different perspective on style and fashion compared to what the stars present at Met Gala chose to wear.
This year’s theme for Met Gala was Glided Glamour and everyone present was dressed accordingly. Stars like Billie Eilish, Taylor Hill, Riz Ahmed, Kacey Musgraves, and Blake Lively were also present and acing their fits as many around the globe loved them. But Damian Lillard isn’t one of them, he didn’t pick up on anyone for their fits but was in general not a fan as he took a shot at the event via a tweet from his personal Twitter handle.
Damian in his tweet quoted: “If what m*s wearing to the MET Gala is considered having “style” … then I’m burnt out ??♂️”. In the tweet, Damian Lillard made it clear that he is just not riding the bus of the style and fashion he spectated at Met Gala. His tweet is viral and he is facing some criticism online as he gets trolled for his own style and fans also have brought in Russell Westbrook to the conversation who was present at Met Gala.
