“He’s a fierce, fierce competitor” Darvin Ham claims LeBron James REFUSES to play fewer minutes despite turning 38-years-old
LeBron James
LeBron James continues to defy the laws of fatherhood and aging. As many would have expected him to fall off track due to his age, the King has only gotten better since his MVP days. It absolutely makes no sense how he makes it possible to compete at a high level being 38-years-old, but the King puts on a show for his fans.
The Los Angeles Lakers on the other hand have been devoid of success. LA was looked as the “team to beat” before putting their true colors on display. Despite all their setbacks, LA managed to find a winning game plan before Anthony Davis injured himself again. With the Lakers down a valuable piece, LeBron James has been there only hope.
Head Coach Darvin Ham spoke about LeBron James’ unwillingness to play fewer minutes. Usually players who reach a certain age are given lesser minutes to protect their physical selves from obtaining threatening injuries. He said, “He’s a fierce, fierce competitor.”
“The team, we’re having our ups and downs right now. We’re on the wrong side of the win-loss column. So he’s not going to allow himself to be taken out of the mix. He does as great of a job as I’ve seen ever of making himself available and being able to produce physically at an extremely high level,” he concluded.
