“Super humble guy” David Duke comes out in Kyrie Irving’s support regarding his vaccination status

One of the biggest reasons Kyrie Irving wanted out of the Cleveland Cavaliers was because he wished to pursue a title playing the leader role on a team. He has certainly proven that he can do exactly what a leader needs to do, but lately his personal stances have hindered his reputation and legacy. The Brooklyn Nets roster was built around the player and many termed it as “Kyrie’s team.”

Unfortunately, he became the team’s kryptonite after being banned from playing due to his stance on the vaccination mandate. The former rookie of the year explained on an Instagram rant that he had every intention to play with his team but the mandate was the reason why he chose not to. He elaborated saying that he felt like the rule was forced upon all while several other players had the liberty to participate.

After what conspired during the last season, Joe Tsai and the Nets started to believe it was in their best interests to trade their point guard rather than risking another mishap. Several trade packages were proposed by a few teams but the Los Angeles Lakers seemed to have made the most effort. The Nets are requesting for picks that LA does not have which may stop the trade from happening.

It is understandable that Kyrie Irving has a very high value on the market, but it seems as though with the recent decisions made in LA, the All-Star might stay for another season. He opted in for a one-year extension worth $36.5 million and revealed via Twitter that he is ready to finish what he started. His teammate Kevin Durant on the other hand does not want to.

Multiple associates of the league have come forth saying that Kyrie Irving is extremely misunderstood by the world around him. This does not evade the turmoil his decision caused but it still makes sense the way his teammate David Duke Jr. explained. “I feel that all the hate he gets, all the scrutiny, like all the criticism is as if he is not a human being as well, you know what I mean like if your best friend say they don’t get vaccinated, you’re not going to go and call them everything in the book cause they don’t wanna get vaccinated.”

“Like cause just he won’t, that’s crazy, just cause he don’t wanna get the vaccine or he wants to stand on a belief, I don’t believe he should be criticized at all. I love Ky, he’s one of the best human beings and all that I know, he stands on what he believes in and super like humble, he’s very welcoming, he’s a nice dude, like I don’t have any complaints about him.”
