Former NBA star Dennis Rodman recently revealed an interesting chapter of his career during an interview with VLAD TV. Rodman spoke about his time with the Dallas Mavericks and the hospitality he received from team owner Mark Cuban. It turns out that Rodman briefly lived in Cuban’s guest house during his time with the Mavericks.

According to Dennis Rodman, Cuban insisted that he live with him, offering his spacious seven-acre estate, complete with pools and tennis courts. Rodman was surprised by the gesture and recalls Cuban telling him, “You ain’t going nowhere, you’re coming and living with me.” To make the living arrangement more comfortable, Cuban even gave Rodman a budget of $100,000 to buy furniture for the guest house.

Rodman said, “I have a big house back here, and it’s like oh, my god, it was seven acres. It had pools and tennis courts and he told me that I was gonna live right here. Then he told me to put some furniture in the house and said, ‘Here is $100,000, go and buy all the furniture you want.”

However, Dennis Rodman’s time in Dallas was short-lived and filled with controversy. He played just 12 games for the Mavericks, averaging 2.8 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. Prior to his arrival, the team had a strong record of 10 wins in 13 games, but they struggled after Rodman joined, winning only four of their next nine games.

Besides, Rodman’s on-court performance was overshadowed by his behavior. He had six technical fouls and was ejected twice. Moreover, he faced a one-game suspension. Rodman’s actions left the Mavericks in chaos. Shortly after, the team decided to waive him.
