Flamboyant Dennis Rodman, is easily one of the most controversial NBA stars ever. Known for his strange behavior both on and off the court. Rodman’s extraordinary personality and fearless fashion choices overshadowed his legendary basketball skills. However, Rodman yet again grabbed the headlines for the wrong reasons, while bidding farewell to the NBA.

Rodman’s autobiography ‘Bad As I Wanna Be’ published in 1996, reveals his bold idea for his last NBA game. After his last game, Rodman wanted to walk off the court and take off a piece of clothing after every step. After doing so, he would reach mid-court and walk the rest of it completely n*de to the locker room. He realized no one ever has got such a bizarre idea before and this could be a memorable send-off from the NBA.

With such an outrageous plan, Rodman wanted to make a fashion statement that drew everyone’s attention. Known for his colorful hair, an extensive collection of tattoos, multiple piercings and flamboyant attitude was enough to support his bizarre thoughts, during an interview he stated, “After my last game . . . I’ll walk off the court and take off one piece of clothing with every step. Then I’ll be at about midcourt, and I’ll walk the rest of the way into the locker room nude. Nobody’s ever done that before, and it can be my parting shot to the NBA”

Rodman’s personal life was as colorful as his professional career. Known for lively parties, and high-profile relationships which included pop star Madonna and many other affairs which were covered by the media. His actions usually put him on the table with NBA Commissioner David Stern.
