The Denver Nuggets’ star center, Nikola Jokic, has established himself as one of the most accurate shooters in the NBA. Jokic’s remarkable performance in the 2022-23 regular season and playoffs has solidified his position as a dominant force on the court. He lead the league in true shooting percentage with an outstanding 70.1%.
In the 2023 NBA Playoffs, Jokic continued to shine, although his true shooting percentage dropped to 61.9%. Despite this decrease, Jokic maintained a higher shooting efficiency compared to other star players such as Jimmy Butler, Jayson Tatum, and LeBron James, who recorded true shooting percentages of 59.8%, 59.3%, and 58.4%, respectively.
Throughout the regular season, Jokic showcased his exceptional skills, averaging 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game in 69 starts. He played a crucial role in the Nuggets’ success, contributing to their position as the number one favorite to win the championship according to multiple NBA betting sites.

In a thrilling second-round loss to the Phoenix Suns in Game 4, he scored a remarkable playoff career-high 53 points in 40 minutes of play, further cementing his status as an elite player. He also marked his name in NBA history by recording his fourth career playoff game with at least 30 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, the most ever achieved.
Not only did Jokic break individual records, but he also set unmatched milestones during the playoffs. He became the first player in NBA postseason history to achieve a 30-point triple-double on 70% shooting in consecutive games. Additionally, he became the first player in the last 25 years to record 10 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in any quarter.
Jokic’s exceptional performance extended beyond shooting, as he led the league in multiple statistical categories during the regular season, including player efficiency rating, win shares, offensive win shares, box plus/minus, offensive box plus/minus, defensive box plus/minus, value over replacement player, and triple-doubles.
