“Diar DeRozan for MVP” – DeMar DeRozan’s daughter STEALS THE SHOW by forcing Raptors to miss 18 free throws with genius tactic

Bring your kid to work day took a brilliant turn with DeMar DeRozan’s daughter adding her own sparkle to the Raptors’ free throws, making them miss several times.

“Diar DeRozan for MVP” – DeMar DeRozan’s daughter STEALS THE SHOW by forcing Raptors to miss 18 free throws with genius tactic

Dair and DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan’ Diar showed up for the Chicago Bulls in a big way in their 109-105 win over the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Play-in tournament. She used a genius tactic that kept the Bulls’ season alive. The Raptors missed 18 free throws in a game they lose by four, and the reason could very well be Diar’s tactics.

Diar DeRozan was spotted screaming loudly right before each of the Raptors’ free throws. Diar seemed to be doing this on purpose to throw the players off right when they should’ve been concentrating. Her tactic seemingly worked. Those 18 missed free throws, including two from Pascal Siakam when the Raptors trailed by two points with less than 20 seconds left, could’ve very well helped them win the game and keep their season alive.

But Diar DeRozan wasn’t the only one who showed up for the Bulls against the Raptors.

Let us take a closer look at the game between the Raptors and the Bulls. Though Diar DeRozan stole the show, her dad, alongside his teammates, also worked hard to get the job done in Toronto.

Chicago Bulls managed to pull off a close victory against the Toronto Raptors and extend their season to at least one more game. The Bulls gave everything they had to mount a 19-point comeback, which seemed unlikely until Zach Lavine’s explosion in the third quarter.

LaVine led the way for the Bulls with 39 points, of which 30 came in the second half, three assists, and six rebounds. DeMar DeRozan aided his teammate with 23 points, three assists, and seven rebounds while Nikola Vucevic followed with 14 points. For the Raptors, Pascal Siakam scored 32 points, six assists, and nine rebounds in an inadequate effort. Fred VanVleet followed with 26 points, eight assists, and 12 rebounds while Scottie Barnes scored 19 points.

In the post-game press conference, DeMar said he “owed his daughter money” for keeping the Raptors distracted on the free-throw line. People also called Diar the “Bulls MVP” as she seemingly threw the Raptors off their game during free throws. Toronto, who went 78% from the free throw line this season, only scored 50% of the free throws in this game.

In their next matchup, the Bulls will go against Miami Heat in their final Play-in matchup. Winning this game will push the Bulls into the playoffs. But Diar won’t travel with the team to Miami, per DeMar DeRozan. The Bulls won’t be lacking in support in Miami on Friday but will have to have to get the job done without Diar’s heckling from the stands.
