“This could be the last year, maybe next year is the last year” DISHEARTENED Steve Kerr hints at the nearing end of Stephen Curry, Warriors Dynasty

Steve Kerr

Steve Kerr is all over the NBA headlines as he recently handed out a reality check to the Golden State Warriors and the Dub Nation. He hinted towards a heart-breaking ending of the Warriors dynasty. As the time for them to fall apart is near and it can be clearly seen. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have led the Dubs to four championships and they even won it last season. But now the team is struggling and looks helpless and even Steve Kerr knows it very well.

Honestly, Stephen Curry is still balling his heart and soul out there. But the team is not able to back him up or hand out enough support to at least win games. Recently, they lost to the Phoenix Suns even though Stephen Curry dropped a 50-point bomb against them. Unfortunately, the Warriors just aren’t the same team they were last season. And, even Steve Kerr acknowledged it after the loss as he called out the match as a “pickup game” since the players weren’t really hooping as expected and he sounded very unhappy and disappointed too.

The Warriors are now 0-8 on the road and Steve Kerr has already pointed out the nearing end of the great trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Kerr talking with ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne said: “But it can only last so long. We know this isn’t going forever. This could be the last year, maybe next year is the last year. We’re in the final stages. We know that. We want to make the most of it.”

Steve Kerr though isn’t giving up on the Dubs and knows they can still get the job done. As in the very same interview he has also mentioned: “But when you have a backcourt like these two guys who are just so potent and explosive, but also just so naturally humble and respectful to everyone around them, that allows for an organization to get through the rough patches.

Steve Kerr has also pointed out how the core of Golden State Warriors: Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry have been together for almost a decade and how that’s not really possible in sports. But the Dubs managed it all and today when they are struggling and the end looks near they still have the spirit to step in and ball out.

Also, let’s not underestimate the splash brothers as you never know when they turn the whole narrative around them and end up on the winning end.

This offseason the Golden State Warriors, unfortunately, had to part ways with many of their role players and key players who were in rotation. Gary Payton II, Otto Porter Jr., Juan Toscano Anderson and Damion Lee are no longer with the franchise and the difference can be clearly seen. Steve Kerr though is giving out the best possible efforts to bring the present younger core into the rotation and get the team going again. But maybe things are a little early for them as the team isn’t able to get any good success.

Honestly, the Warriors aren’t done they are just in a phase full of struggles. But their future is bright as they still have a lot many young guns of the league around them who know how to get the job done. Right now, the Dubs are ranked at the 12th spot with a 6-9 record but we shouldn’t sleep on them as Stephen Curry is capable of single-handedly carrying the team across.
