The Sacramento Kings are no slouch of a team. However, they lost against the Phoenix Suns in one of the worst choke jobs in basketball. Fans were shocked at the Kings losing a winnable game.

The Phoenix Suns came into this game after two consecutive wins. However, in tonight’s game against the Kings, the Suns were lagging by as much as 22 points with 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter. They went on a run sparked by inputs from all players on the floor. They snatched the lead back with 30 seconds to go and eventually wound out winning the game 119-117.

Such was the nature of the game that it wiped out a brilliant triple-double from Domantas Sabonis who led the Kings with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. The Kings are coming off back-to-back losses against top-tier teams. This loss will not sit well with the squad.

The Suns had double-digit contributions from all their starters. But the run was fuelled by three-pointers from Kevin Durant, Eric Gordon, and Grayson Allen. They slowed down the Kings with an improvised defensive game plan from the entire squad.

Fans in shock as Kings let game slip despite massive lead

Generally, teams of this caliber go head-to-head to fight till the end. Sneaking away with the win in the last few seconds of the game showed resilience from the Suns. It also showed the Kings choked when the gameplan changed against them.
