“Don’t comment on a double murder,” Charles Barkley makes a SHOCKING comment on the infamous OJ Simpson murder controversy

Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley has been known to comment freely on controversial topics and has done it again regarding OJ Simpson. Charles Barkley was on the Steam Room podcast with Ernie Johnson when he said, “OJ, stand down, shut the f*** up. Don’t comment on a double murder just because you got away with it.” Former NFL MVP OJ Simpson was accused of murder in 1994, and his rather infamous trial, where he got proven innocent, was televised worldwide.

OJ uploaded a video to Twitter commenting on the Murdaugh murders, which involved a husband murdering his wife and kid in 2021 and getting convicted now. Barkley said that no one wants OJ’s opinion as Barkley feels he is not fit to comment on justice when he is someone who escaped it. OJ was famously declared innocent after a glove found at the place of murder belonging to the suspect did not fit him.

The Phoenix Suns legend has commented on what is a very sensitive topic for OJ for obvious reasons and the former NFL all-star does not entertain people calling him guilty. OJ recently joined Twitter in an attempt to fix his image in front of the public but Barkley was having none of it. “We don’t want your opinion”, said Charles Barkley to the fact the OJ even released a video on Twitter.

OJ Simpson was not found guilty of murdering his partner and her love affair but was guilty of robbery. The disgraced NFL star was convicted guilty of theft in 2008 and was sentenced to 33 years in prison. OJ was eligible for parole after nine years and was released in 2017. Charles Barkley commented on OJ’S release saying, “He’s done everything possible to screw this thing up; I hope he can keep his act together.”

Barkley was also asked whether he would ever play golf with the NFL star to which he replied – “I probably would not golf with him“. OJ Simpson was a world-famous athlete and celebrity in his prime and the murder accusations along with being convicted guilty of kidnapping and robbery completely ruined his reputation. Barkley has always encouraged OJ to become a better person and get his act together but has no faith in OJ as such.

Charles Barkley is not alone when it comes to disliking OJ Simpson. The majority of the sporting world, fans alike, have urged OJ to stay away from commenting on such situations himself as nobody will take him seriously. Despite being proven innocent in court, the popular opinion amongst the public is that OJ did indeed commit the crime. Accusations will always be made at OJ but as long as he has been proven innocent nothing will stop him from spreading his thoughts online, not even a trash-talking Charles Barkley.
