“A better slam than Roman Reigns” Draymond Green brutally manhandles Brandon Clarke only to get himself ejected
Draymond Green ejected in Game 1 vs Grizzlies
If the Golden State Warriors wanted to draw first blood on Grizzlies turf in Game 1 of their particular semi-final series, it was important for the former team to have their former DPOY, Draymond Green present on the court. Given that the Grizzlies have majority of youngsters who can be aggressive in the paint, it seems like the Dubs have a tough tasked forced upon their hand as Green has been ejected for an unnecessary play.
To those who are not aware, Draymond Green viciously pulled down Brandon Clarke as he was attacking the rim. Moreover, it wasn’t the only physical contact made by Green, he initially slammed the face of Clarke, which pretty much would have sent the victim to the free-throw line anyway. But as things got worse, Draymond Green surely let his emotions get the better of him.
Draymond Green intimidates Grizzlies fans by running around on court after being ejected
Draymond Green’s importance in this semi-final series cannot be described in words. With Jackson Jr, Brandon Clarke all in fine form after the previous series of games, Green needs to guide the defensive unit if Warriors wanted to have an upper hand.
However, after being ejected from the game, Green might have got the signal beforehand, he decided to intimidate thousands of home supporters inside the FedExForum by running wildly.
As things stand, the Golden State Warriors will not have the services of Green any longer in Game 1 and their marquee players, Stephen curry and Klay Thompson are already in foul trouble with 3 personal fouls registered against their names respectively.
On one hand where Jordan Poole and Stephen Curry have led the away side, Draymond Green never seemed to have caught the pace of the game as he already had multiple turnovers associated. Now will Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr, who’s in red-hot-form be able to haunt the former champions? Remains to be seen.
Which team will come out stronger in the second half? Will Grizzlies be able to hamper the flow of Warriors in the fourth quarter, how they haunted the Minnesota Timberwolves in the same fashion? All speculations are bound to be answered in a while.
