Especially Draymond Green, who predicted the Celtics to be the finalist this season and eventually, won over them in 6 games. Draymond hosted Podcast after every game, updating fans on the game and his views over the same. He was heavily criticized for this, but Draymond never did back out from his podcasts, which became an every-match day affair for fans. As per NBC reports, Boston Celtics’ coaches were Draymond’s regular viewers during their finals games.

He started his “The Draymond Green Show” on 25th Nov. when it was a weekly podcast over the events in the league at that time. But since the playoffs, 32-years star started doing Podcast on a “Game basis”. Many fans and media personalities targeted Green for his “outside court Activities during playoffs. Theorizing that it was affecting his mediocre performance, some pundits asked him to stop doing the same at least in midst of finals.

But Green continued with his podcasts and said, “They’re gonna get this podcast, Everybody complained all playoffs. Have a couple bad games, ‘Stop doing this podcast!’ It ain’t stopping! Y’all gonna get this podcast. You’re gonna get it all summer and next year too! It’s here. It is what it is.”

Some people showed their concerns over Green leaking some inside Intel through his podcast, which Draymond laughed out at that time. And now after winning the 2022 NBA Championship, Green has the last laugh over everyone else.

He continued, “When I speak into new media, going into Game 4, it was made out like ‘oh he’s having this terrible series.’ But if you know basketball and you watched Game 1, I did not have a bad Game 1 and I had an incredible Game 2. Game 3 was kind of like terrible…you read these narratives, I saw, I think Stephen A. said, ‘he’s having the most horrific Finals of an NBA starter in history!’ Dude, you ain’t gotta exaggerate that much. That’s ridiculous.”

Now hearing that the Celtics were following his podcast, Green had nothing but a sarcastic “Thank you for support” reply. And co0incidntly he shared his “thanks” on 19th June when Game 7 between Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtic was scheduled, but never needed.  4-time NBA Champion might take some day off from the podcasts though celebrating the win.
