Draymond Green has been a really strong reliable source for the Golden State Warriors. He is one of the smarter players in the league as well and the have him lead the facilitation process is important for the team during the Finals. The player has been their key defensive piece helping get back to their top spots.
So far they have not shown too much struggle in the playoffs finishing series within five or six games max. It seems like their matchup against the Boston Celtics will prolong further possibly until the elimination stage. Both teams are almost exact replications of each other’s games which makes the Finals more interesting.

Stephen Curry had 34 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds dominating during the opening minutes with a historic 6 three-pointers. 21 points of his total came from the first quarter alone. Draymond Green had 11 rebounds and 5 assists and their shooting splits were .443/.422/.733%. Klay Thompson only had 15 points in total and barely showed out during the second half of the game.
The Warriors had a major lead during the third quarter which had many under the impression that they were about the win. The Celtics recognized where they had to make a push and tightened their defenses which choked the Dubs offense. This led to a 17-0 scoring run by Boston towards the end of the final quarter. Despite Andrew Wiggins helping them stay afloat with 20 points, players like Jordan Poole had terrible nights which ultimately costed them this game.

Draymond Green gave an analysis of the Game 1 loss during the pre-game press conference. He said, “I think they stayed within striking distance and they made shots late. We’ll be fine. We’ll figure out ways we can stop them getting those threes. I don’t think it was a rhythm thing. We pretty much dominated the game for the first 41-42 minutes, so we’ll be fine.”
“We’ll see, we’ll figure it out and watch some film. They got guy that put pressure on the rim, so you’re gonna have to rotate and help… You get a chance to do something else, do it in a different way and embrace the challenge.
