Draymond Green said, “Resiliency allows teams to show their true characters, so, we’ll get to see the true character of the Boston Celtics led by none other than the young GOAT, young next greatest Jayson Tatum.” He added, “I think he will do an incredible job adjusting to everything, going on leading his troops.” Boston Celtics made it to the NBA finals last season, but lost to a formidable Golden State Warriors.

The Boston Celtics were caught in a spot of bother when their head coach Ime Udoka was suspended for violating the Celtics’ code of conduct. The general managers around the league took an annual survey to mark the best defenders in the NBA league. Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was voted the best defender, while Golden State Warriors Draymond Green was the second best behind him. Draymond Green received 24 percent of the votes, while Antetokounmpo garnered nearly half of the vote with 48 percent.

A back injury kept Draymond out of the 2021-22 NBA season, but now he will be eager to come back and make the most of it count. Green also was voted the NBA’s third-best interior defender, receiving seven percent of the vote behind Antetokounmpo (10 percent) and Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves (83 percent). Green will be back on the court for the Warriors this season, and he will use this survey as a motivation to perform the best for his team.
