Draymond Green and Jermaine Edmondson
Draymond Green, the star for the Golden State Warriors, was reportedly arrested in 2017 when authorities discovered that he had slapped a Michigan State football player in the face. After a fight outside a club in East Lansing, Michigan between Green, the defensive player of the year and senior Spartans cornerback Jermaine Edmondson, he was charged with assault. Green was arrested and then freed from custody after paying a $200 bond. Green, 26, was charged with assault after the confrontation and was later jailed at about 2:30 a.m.
Jermaine Edmondson, a redshirt junior at Michigan State who was 22 at the time, featured in 14 games as a cornerback and special teams player prior season. Draymond was a champion on his college team and a graduate of Michigan State University. Edmondson filed a claim for assault, violence, and cause of mental distress, referring to Green as a “Bully.” According to Edmondson, Green assaulted him at a bar. Edmondson claims that Green assaulted him in a bar, and the lawsuit also names Edmondson’s girlfriend, Bianca Williams.
Draymond Green and his shenanigans.
One of the NBA’s most controversial players is Draymond Green. The big man for the Golden State Warriors has won four championships and retained the hardware from the franchise that selected him. Multiple all-star and all-defensive selections have been made for Green. He has frequently been referred to be the dynasty’s leader and the heart and soul due to his passionate and outspoken behavior. Green’s mindset is also appropriately reflected by his capacity to play as a small ball defensive big despite his shorter stature.
Draymond Green had a disappointing Finals effort in 2016, allowing the Cavaliers to win Game 5 and pushing the Warriors up 3-2 to a Game 6 in the process. After falling down 3-1, Cleveland made the amazing comeback by winning the series in seven games. Green had perfect overall statistics in 2017, leading the team in blocks (1.39 per game), and leading the league in steals (2.03 per game) for the team that led the league in that category. Due primarily to his skill as an unstoppable force on that end of the floor, the 6-foot-7 forward finished first in Defensive Player of the year voting.
At a Michigan bar, the Warriors star and Edmondsen first linked. The two got into an altercation about something there and Draymond Green purportedly continued by saying that Edmondson was only a scholarship athlete who was sponsored by Green. In his statement to police, Edmondson, 22, said that the two had argued violently the previous evening. Edmondson told police that Green contacted him the night of the incident and then attacked him after a brief disagreement.
Sadly, Edmondsen departed MSU and his career path following this incident. Green, on the other hand, continued to improve in the NBA. Green was selected at the time to represent the USA men’s basketball team in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. We might well have lost an NFL-caliber talent because of Draymond’s reckless behavior. Damages are served off the court and if If the stories are genuine, Green received a sizable compensation settlement.
