The recent altercation between the Warriors’ Draymond Green and Wolves’ Rudy Gobert has sparked significant attention in the NBA community. The incident, which occurred during a game, saw Green putting Gobert in a chokehold after he tried to pull Klay Thompson away from Jaden McDaniels.

The situation escalated when Klay and Jaden got into a tussle, prompting Gobert to intervene. Sensing ill-intent, Green rushed Gobert, grabbing him by his neck. His actions, however, crossed a line according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who labeled his behavior inexcusable.

Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, after the game, referred to Green’s actions as “clown behavior,” he said:

it's kind of funny because before the game, I was telling myself that Steph [Curry] is not playing, so I know Draymond is going to try and get ejected... It’s clown behavior.

In response to the incident, Draymond Green acknowledged the need for personal growth. This admission marks a departure from his usual fiery and confrontational demeanor, suggesting a moment of introspection for the Golden State Warriors star.

Surprisingly, Green did not have much to say about Gobert labeling what he did as ‘clown behavior’. He just wanted to ‘silence do the taling’, he said:

No comment is a comment, right? Cool!

Despite the controversy, some, like Shaquille O’Neal, have defended Green’s actions. Shaq stated that he would have done the same in Green’s position. This highlights the complex nature of on-court dynamics and team loyalty in high-pressure situations.
