“Any team with Michael Jordan in it….I’m picking it” Draymond Green’s teammate Andre Iguodala picks 98 Bulls over 2017 Warriors

“Any team with Michael Jordan in it….I’m picking it” Draymond Green’s teammate Andre Iguodala picks 98 Bulls over 2017 Warriors

Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala

The star of the Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green, continues to cause controversy with both his remarks and his on-court play. He accomplished this throughout the weekend by focusing on some of the most renowned NBA clubs, specifically, the mid- to late-1990s Chicago Bulls with MJ, Pippen, Rodman, and Phil. There were quite a few people who disapproved of the outspoken Dubs talisman’s bold assertion, so it was clear that his was a heated view. It seems that not even Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala is siding with his friend in this situation.

The 1998 Chicago Bulls and several incarnations of the Warriors’ squad have been contrasted. Despite outperforming the Bulls’ 72-10 regular-season record in 1996, the 2016 Warriors were unable to capture the title. With Kevin Durant in 2017, the Warriors, already a dynasty, became even more powerful. The 2017 Warriors have been matched up against the Bulls despite having a mediocre regular season performance because of their postseason success.

2017 Warriors or 1998 Bulls?

The 2017 Warriors easily overcame the Cavaliers to win the NBA championship in just five games. The only distinction was that in 2018, they defeated LeBron James and his reassembled squad. The Golden State team is widely regarded as having one of the NBA’s strongest rosters. One of the best basketball teams in history is the 2017 Golden State Warriors, who feature four future NBA Hall of Famers. The Golden State Warriors have won four of the previous eight NBA Championships. With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green as their explosive trio, they are now an unstoppable force.

The Bulls squad, led by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman, had just defeated the Jazz to win the NBA title for the third time in a row after winning the series in six games. Two future first-ballot Hall of Famers who played for the Utah squad were John Stockton and Karl Malone. The 1996 Bulls squad set a record by winning 72 games before taking home the Larry O’Brien trophy, while the 1998 Bulls team won 62 games before taking home the trophy.

Andre Iguodala takes his stand on Draymond Green’s take

On “Point Forward,” Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner talked about the subject. Surprisingly, they both concluded that the 1996 Bulls would have defeated the 2017 Warriors in the series. Iguodala said he is certain the Warriors of today wouldn’t have a chance against Michael Jordan in his prime. He said: “I’m picking the Bulls, I’m not even arguing with you because any team with Michael Jordan on it, I’m picking.” “I think we are a more talented team, I just think they were a higher level IQ team. The way we shoot the ball though is different though. We shoot the ball very well, like very well” he added.

But Andre Iguodala did mention that he would have beaten a Michael Jordan-led team with one of his past squads. The Warriors veteran asserts that his 2012 Dream Team would have destroyed Michael Jordan’s 1992 Team USA squad. The 1992 Dream Team was widely regarded as the finest basketball team ever formed, but the 2012 version was not far behind. Anyways, it’s just different opinions everyday and all we could possibly do is accept the greatness of these remarkable teams.
