LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers suffered yet another defeat in the conference finals to the Denver Nuggets last night, with James at the center of the attention. A video capturing James’s disgruntlement at the Nuggets arena cameraman for recording him as he left the court after a tough loss surfaced on Twitter. The Lakers are now 0-2 down in the series and face an uphill task to avoid elimination.
LeBron James scored 22 points on the night but missed a crucial layup that would have given the Lakers a chance to pull the game back in the final seconds. The 4x NBA Champion also went 0/6 from three-point range in a poor shooting night. The Nuggets took advantage of the Laker’s inefficiency as Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic combined for 58 points to close the game.
Fans and media have witnessed LeBron James being frustrated right after the game on multiple occasions, and tensions were particularly high following a close 108-103 loss. The video shows the cameraman blocking James’ way to the tunnel, trying to get his reaction to the defeat. However, James did not take it lightly and gave the cameraman a stern face, leading him to move out of the way.

NBA Twitter called out LeBron James for being a sore loser
Twitter did not hold back on LeBron James, who had a below-par night by his standards in a crushing loss for the Lakers. One fan pointed out something else James should be annoyed about: “He need to be fed up shootin those damn threes my god.” The all-time scoring record holder has had an abysmal 2023 playoffs from three-point range, shooting 23% this post-season, going 1-20 in the fourth quarters.
LeBron James was criticized for being camera friendly only when he wins by a fan who tweeted – “LeBron only likes the cameras when he’s winning or getting adoration.” Going 0-2 down is not unfamiliar for a LeBron James team, as he has been in this position eight times in his career. However, he has a 3-5 record while being 0-2 down which would add to his frustrations of making it to the NBA finals.
Some fans compared his situation to NFL player Davante Adams, who experienced a cameraman pushing him in his face, and they posted a gif of the same incident in the replies. The Los Angeles Lakers will look to come back from 0-2 down, a feat only 7.2% of NBA teams in this position have accomplished. With a motivated LeBron James on their side, they would not rule themselves out.
