Dwyane Wade was a king on the court and nearly unstoppable at one point of his career. He was extremely successful as a young guard in the NBA and possessed the ability to lead his team to a title by his third season. This is something that is not easy to achieve.
But after retirement, he returned back to “normal life” which he barely got to experience as a travelling athlete who played for close to 8 months in a year. The former Miami Heat legend retired in 2019 after 16 years of incredible success.
He revealed on the Kelly Clarkson Show that it was hard adjusting to home life and being around his wife. “So I just had to be quiet for like the first six months. Yeah, just shut up and listen. I found my space in the house now.”

Coming into this relationship, the two were already divorced once. It took a while before they got married and they certainly had several ups and downs throughout their relationship which involved Dwyane Wade cheating as well. Gabrielle Union shared her idea of having his husband back home following his 2019 retirement.
She said,“Initially, our careers were on opposite coasts, so we were never really home together for long stretches of time. So it would be like, every morning, Oh! There you are.” The couple have been spending a lot more time together ever since his retirement.
Every year they take vacations with their children but this year, surprisingly they were alone while visiting Europe. The couple have come a long way with each other and parent three children (one of their own) together.
