The former NBA player and Lakers star Dwight Howard has been the subject of controversy for the past few months in reference to his sexual assault allegation by a man named Stephen Harper. The ongoing controversy about Howard’s assault allegations has definitely taken a toll on his mental health. In regards to that Howard went live on Instagram and was seen to be preaching, citing the Bible.

According to the Bible, Matthew 16:23 outlines Jesus, rejecting satan’s temptations, and the former NBA player in his live stream cited the verse in reference to talking about the assault charges against him.

Jesus said, get thee behind me Satan. You can't tempt me... and the devil flee. And the devil flee but only for a season. Look it up. Matthew. He only flee for a season. He came in and tempted Jesus. He did it in a couple ways.

Howard citing the verse reckons the people and mentions that there are three sides to the story which include the story of the other person, my story, and the truth.

Howard with this, explains that with accusations coming at him, his reputation took a huge hit, and he insists fans and critics change the way they see things. Howard continued:

The lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. It was five thousand people talking on him. All speaking negativity. All saying negative stuff."All talking about crazy stuff. All that stuff. Just saying all the negative things that they could to try get my attention. So this message is for the people who that is really listening, who want to change their life.

Dwight Howard’s sexual assault allegations

Former NBA player and Lakers star Dwight Howard was accused of sexual assault and battery charges by a man named Stephen Harper who claimed that he was assaulted by the former NBA star. However, Dwight Howard denied all the allegations stated by the lawsuit and asserted that the act was completely consensual, and denied that any harm was caused.

Howard earlier this year also urged the court of Georgia to dismiss the case against him. Dwight in reaction to the allegations claims that the private act is being exploited by Harper to seek profit and believes that the Judicial system of the country to find out the truth in the case.

According to the court documents, Dwight Howard claimed that the encounter between Harper and the former NBA player took place in early July in the year 2021 at his Georgia residence. Harper claimed that the former Lakers star intentionally caused him emotional distress according to the initial complaint filed.
