Who could have ever seen this coming? Two of the world’s top tech billionaires, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, taking off their corporate suits, putting on combat gear and facing each other in a cage match! If that does not get you hyped up, what will? This match could very well have the potential to be the most watched clip on the internet, ever.
NBA analyst for ESPN, Stephen A. Smith, has joined in on the conversation and is very much in favor of this high-profile bout to take place. “Crazy as it sounds, I think a lot of people wouldn’t mind seeing that,” said Smith on his show.“If they were to fight, people would watch, if for no other reason than this disdain for who they are and the positions they’re in because there are people in this world that resent them...and would love to see at least one of them get their a** kicked.”
It all started when Musk responded to a tweet that claimed that META is reportedly planning to launch a new social network called ‘Threads’ which will be a direct competitor for Twitter. He tweeted, “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options.” A Twitter user then responded to Musk’s tweet saying that he should be careful since Zuckerberg has been practicing ju-jitsu now, to which Musk replied through a tweet that said, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”

Stephen A. Smith disagrees with other podcast claiming the fight won’t happen
A podcast that goes by the name of ‘Morning Kombat’ had the two hosts, Luke Thomas and Brian Campbell, debating over whether the match will actually happen or not.
Luke first spoke about Musk and said, “I don’t think there is even a 0.05% chance of this happening, it’s all bull****. He’s 52 and a fat out of shape slob, what the f*** are people talking about? The guy can barely touch his toes, he doesn’t have time for it, he’s not gonna do that, it’s all nonsense, it’s all bull***.” He then took a shot at Zuckerberg too and said that his BJJ tournament wins meant nothing.
He concluded by saying, “It’s two guys who are using d***heads like us for extra media attention, no more, no less.” While Stephen A. Smith lauded Thomas for his opinion, he chose to “respectfully disagree.” Smith was of the opinion that fans have had plenty of people do stupid things, “very very stupid things,” and it worked out for some and not for the others. “There are relatively smart accomplished people who do very stupid things, there’s no way around that. It happens all the time, why can’t it be with Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg?”
It will be interesting to see how this story develops in the coming days.
