Russell Westbrook is back in the NBA headlines and again the reason is the unreal disrespect fans are throwing at him. He surely deserves a good part of it but now it’s getting a little too far away. As fans are crossing the line and going out of their way to mess with Russell Westbrook. And, unfortunately, this isn’t just limited to the internet but the fans in the arena are also a headache for Brodie since he joined the Lakers.
After the Los Angeles Lakers fell short against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Battle of L.A. A fan near the tunnel chose violence and decided to sh*t-talk Russell Westbrook. Honestly, his criticism was fair but he was off-the-limits the way he made Brodie know about it. In the game, it was Russell Westbrook who failed the team as many around believe. And, even his stat line suggests the same.
Russell Westbrook’s contributions were limited to only 2 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Brodie lived up to the tag of “Westbrick” as he attempted 11 shots from the field and 6 from downtown but made none of those. But many around and especially the fan near the tunnel are forgetting the elite defense he played against the Clippers while locking down everyone against him on the court.
The fan though saw Brodie walking back to the locker room after the loss. And, shouted “You f*cking suck” at him, as reported by Lakers Daily. And, Russell Westbrook heard him saying that and while confronting him said something like: “say it to my face”. And, unfortunately, and unexpectedly he got his wish fulfilled as the fan said it again straight at his face and he had to walk away as the viral video shows.
