The Memphis Grizzlies are on a winning streak right now. They defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Wednesday night by a score of 115-114, extending their winning streak to 11 games. The Grizzlies were spearheaded by the backcourt duo of Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, but a big part of Memphis’ success can be attributed to Steven Adams, who can make a difference for the club without ever scoring with the ball himself.
With 16 seconds remaining, Steven Adams tipped in the winning goal. Adams was in the right place to deflect a Morant miss and Dillon Brooks secured the win by denying Garland’s last-second 3-point attempt. Cleveland was led by Darius Garland’s 24 points, Caris LeVert’s 23, and Evan Mobley’s 18 points and 15 rebounds. Due to a strained left groin, Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland’s leading scorer, did not participate in the game.

The 2022–2023 Grizzlies season has officially reached halfway. And at 28-13, they are once again among the greatest teams in the NBA and near the top of the Western Conference. The Grizzlies obviously have the components necessary to prepare a championship campaign this year.
