Ja Morant faced one of the worst nights of his career during an important playoff game that could possibly cost the team their title shot. The Golden State Warriors are now up 2-1 in the second-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies. Despite all odds, both teams have been very impressive in their performances so far.
The rivalry took a darker turn during the first two games of the series after things got physical between them. Initially, it started with Draymond Green accidentally causing a hard foul which ejected him mainly because of his history of being unnecessarily physical at times. Game 2 had a much different outcome when Gary Payton II left the game due to a fractured elbow, Green got stitches on his eyelid and Dillon Brooks kept getting dirty with the rest of the roster.

With 5:19 minutes left on the clock to end the fourth quarter, Ja Morant took a blow to the knee which later forced him to leave the game. The Warriors would take over on offense and defeated the Grizzlies by 30 points. Jordan Poole had accidentally connected a jab to Morant’s knee that has already been troublesome, but it was not intentional this time as the player was trying to play tight defense.
“He’s getting evaluated now. Nothing further. We just watched the replay. He was going after a dribble and Jordon Poole actually grabbed his knee and yanked it, which is kind of triggered whatever happened, so I’m actually going to be very curious to see what happens after that,” said Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins.

It is clear that the Warriors are umpteen times more experienced than Ja Morant and Memphis. For the last few games, the team has been receiving a lot of backlash over their apparent dirty plays.
