Novak Djokovic is finally the man with the most Grand Slam Titles with 23 titles under his belt after his victory against Casper Ruud at the French Open Final.
The Denver Nuggets star, Nikola Jokic and Novak Djokovic are both from Serbia and have been representing their nation on the big stage for the past few years with Jokic winning two straight NBA league MVP awards and Djokovic cementing himself as one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
Shortly after Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Nikola Jokic was asked about Novak Djokovic and what another Grand Slam Title could mean for Serbia (the interview was before the French Open Final): “He texted me for real (before Game 4) … He’s making the history every time, probably he’s going to go as one of the best ever if not the best ever … He has a nice opportunity to win another one … Having him as a countryman that he represents us in the world … the people in Serbia are really happy that we have him as our countryman.”
In a similar fashion, Jokic is also dominating the NBA Finals leading the series against the Miami Heat with a 3-1 lead all while averaging 25.6 points, 13.4 assists and 10.7 rebounds per outing in the NBA Finals. He also had 32 points and 20 rebounds in Game 4.
If the Denver Nuggets can close this one out against the Miami Heat, Jokic has the chance to cement Serbia’s Legacy in the world of professional sport as the pairing of an NBA title and a 23rd Grand Slam Title year would be hard to top for any other country.

NBA fans on Twitter were quick to join the dots between Djokovic winning his 23rd Grand Slam Title and Nikola Jokic winning the NBA Championship out of pure speculation that they are from the same country.
Call it superstition but the predictions are pointing towards Jokic winning it all as the Serbian big man is leading the Denver Nuggets to a 3-1 lead against the Heat and a title is right around the block with only another win needed to seal the deal.
