“Dude can shoot even with his eyes closed” – Fans react to Stephen Curry’s look-away buzzer-beater in Finals rematch against Jayson Tatum, Celtics
Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry is all over the NBA headlines as he recently showcased his legendary shooting skills. Him displaying his offensive heroics with godlike shooting isn’t something new. But what he pulled off during the finals rematch between Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics isn’t possible for humans. Stephen Curry has been making a lot of look-away shots recently. But against the Boston Celtics, he had one of his best-ever look-away shots.
Recently, the Golden State Warriors hosted the Boston Celtics at Chase Center. The Dubs were dominating the away team from the first minute. And, they eventually won the game at 123-107 and now the Boston Celtics are no more undefeated against the Western Conference. Most of the credits for the Dub go to the Splash Brothers. As Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were nothing but unstoppable throughout the game.
The splash brothers combined for a total of 66 points. Stephen Curry dropped 32 points and Klay Thompson closed it with a brilliant performance of 34 points. The Dubs were also strong on the defensive end as they had the Celtics confused and struggling to get past them and earn a bucket.
So Jayson Tatum who is leading the MVP race was limited to only 18 points, 2 assists and 7 rebounds. Jaylen Brown though stepped up and dropped 31 points, 3 assists and 9 rebounds. But those weren’t enough to register a win against the Stephen Curry led Golden State Warriors.
The game had several highlight worthy moments like Jonathan Kuminga bullying and dunking over Jayson Tatum and Klay Thompson claiming himself back. But the one all over the internet and on the heated discussion table is Stephen Curry’s look-away three-pointer buzzer-beater. As that’s defined why he’s called the greatest shooter ever.
Fans react to Stephen Curry’s look-away three-pointer
There are thousands of reactions to offer for the viral clip of Stephen Curry’s look-away three-pointer buzzer-beater (end of first quarter) which he drilled on the head of the Boston Celtics. To be specific Sam Hauser was guarding him but the confidence Stephen had while pulling up for that shot and then turning his back before it went in and entertaining the crowd after it isn’t something Sam could stop or even control. The fans have loved this play and their reactions say it all. You can find some of those here below:
The Golden State Warriors right now are ranked at the 8th spot in the western conference with a record of 14 wins and 13 losses. In order to improve and play some winning basketball they need to improve their bench and start balling out on the road games too. The superstar duo though is back and balling out from downtown. If Klay hoops at the same pace the chances of the Warriors repeating their title run will be very real. As it’s not easy to stop the OG trio when they are healthy and together with Stephen Curry leading them ahead.
