It appears that finally things are good between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. Earlier, TMZ released a video which showed a beef between the two Golden State Warriors in play and eventually Green punching Poole. In a recent video posted on Twitter, it shows a good light-hearted exchange between Green and Poole. The teammates were seen talking in their practice facility when the Warriors were involved in a shoot-around.
The video is definitely a treat for the Dubs fans as they find a much necessary team chemistry building up between Poole and the former Defensive Player of the Year. Poole has become a primary choice to run the offense for the Warriors in absence of Stephen Curry. Steph partially dislocated his shoulder in a game against Indiana Pacers.
The video received mixed reactions from the fans on Twitter. Some were happy to see the teammates finally having a laugh together. However, some also thought that Poole was faking his laugh. Reacting to the video one of the fans wrote, “Lmao I know the face of waiting for a conversation to end.” Happy with the scene, another fan wrote, “Yeah we been seeing it on the court lol they made up, good for them.” Here are some more reactions;
Why did Draymond Green punch Jordan Poole?
Weeks before, TMZ leaked a video in which Green and Poole were seen in a heated conversation. The video showed Draymond talking and coming too close to Poole, who in reply pushed the former All-Star. Within a fraction of a second, Green swung his hand and punched the Warriors youngster in the face and knocked him out.
The video of two teammates getting into a violent fight broke the internet. However, some of the former players and NBA analysts said that such fights were normal within teams and sometimes can build a better team chemistry. Draymond was suspended without pay from the Warriors and was also fined with an undisclosed amount for his actions.
Later on Green spoke to the media and publicly apologized to Poole for his actions. He also told media that he was stepping away from the team. He said it was a “huge mistake” and apologized to the Warriors and Poole. Green also added that he had “failed as a man.”
Later on, speaking to the media, Poole also addressed the situation and said Green apologized to him and both the parties are gonna figure it out together. “He apologized and we’re planning to handle it ourselves that way,” Poole later on addressed. “We’re gonna play basketball and… win a championship. We’re gonna do that on the court.” Poole also added that the team plays for winning the basketball games and championships and that’s what matters.
