The Golden State Warriors have been part of two buzzer-beating thrillers in 3 nights. They had perhaps the most thrilling win of the season against the Atlanta Hawks. Kevon Looney banked the buzzer-beater in 2nd OT. On Wednesday, unfortunately, the Warriors lost the game against the Detroit Pistons with a buzzer-beater from Saddiq Bey.
The Golden State Warriors won the game in 2nd overtime against the Hawks on Monday. After Klay Thompson’s 54, Kevon Looney made a bank shot in the last second to beat the Hawks. However, on Wednesday, the Warriors were on the other end of the result, as the Detroit Pistons beat them literally in the last second of the 4th quarter.
With the score tied to 119-119 and 1 second remaining on the clock, the Warriors were ready to play 2 consecutive overtime games in 3 days. However, Saddiq Bey had other plans. With 1 second remaining on the clock, the Pistons called the timeout and took the ball out of bounds. Saddiq Bey who was hovering around the inbound line received the ball with his back toward the basket. Bey turned and shot the ball for a 3-pointer and it went in, giving Detroit a 122-119 win over the Warriors.

Fans were in shock after Bey hit the buzzer-beater over Kevon Looney, who in the Warriors’ last game had a game-winner himself. Bey had literally 1 second to make the shot, he caught the ball, turned around, and made the 3-point shot. Bojan Bogdanovic led the Pistons in points and scored 29 points in 33 minutes, He shot 10 of 15 shots from the field and also 5 of 6 shots from beyond the perimeter area. Jalen Duran and Saddiq Bey scored 18 and 17 points respectively. Overall six of the Pistons players scored in double digits.
It was a bad offensive night for the Warriors as three of their starters did not even reach the double digits numbers.
