Angel Reese is back in the headlines of the sporting world. As she isn’t just stopping and has continued the chain of her accomplishments. Recently, Angel Reese was introduced as the newest model for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. She finally made her debut with Sports Illustrated in their May 2023 release and once again has all eyes on her.
On April 2, 2023, Angel Reese led the Louisiana State University Tigers women’s basketball team to win their first-ever national championship. As they won the match-up against the Lowa Hawkeye with the highest championship scoring game in women’s NCAA history at 102-85. Angel Reese during that stretch made a lot of controversial headlines but had her reasons for all of them.
Talking about winning the national championship with the SI Swimsuit team, Angel Reese quoted: “Having so many people come back to me and say, ‘You guys have changed the game. You guys have been a part of history,’ I embraced that. Just being able to be a part of this has just been amazing for me this year, and it’s been a blessing.”
Angel Reese is a real winner and has taken her winning spirits off the court too. As she is one of the top NIL earners at $1.3 million. And, she also has deals with Coach, Amazon Merch on Demand, McDonald’s, and Mercedes Benz-Baton Rouge. Let’s not forget it’s just the start of her career and she is on her way to much bigger moments.
Angel Reese started her modeling career with SI Swimsuits by posing for photographer Yu Tsai in Los Angeles. And, there she even discussed her life, controversies, and future with the SI Swimsuit team. She is really a certified hooper, as a 21-year-old she already knows how to handle media and has a great vision that will lead her path ahead. Also, her competitiveness is something that probably everyone around her knows.
While donning bikinis for the shoot, she said: “I embrace my body and who I am and every mark on my body. I probably feel the sexiest in a bathing suit.” The statement displays her confidence and the important role her mother, Angel Webb, a professional baller in the past has played.

LSU’s Angel Reese is back with the controversial ring pose
Angel Reese hasn’t just left her fans mesmerizing with her photos from the shoot for SI Swimsuits. But she has also stunned many around, as in one of the many poses of her she remained the world about her greats by once again pointing at her ring finger. She was a part of various controversies during LSU’s championship run. As she threw the hand-wave gesture of “you can’t see me” to Caitlin Clark in the championship game. She also broke the internet by disrespecting her opponents by pointing at her ring finger.
But Angel Reese has an answer for all of it, during her time at the shoot with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, she quoted: “Caitlin and I are cool. It’s just being able to force people to accept that women can talk trash. The women’s side gets penalized for it or we’re considered as not being ladylike and that we’re not playing by the rules. We work just as hard as the men. Women can be who we are; women can be competitive.”
Now with Hailey Van Lith, Aneesah Morrow, and Flau’jae Johnson, Angel Reese would want to repeat LSU’s championship run once again.
