Delonte West

Delonte West recently made the headlines after getting involved with the police once again. This is not the first time the former athlete has been arrested and he was never always a personality trait rather than to do with his mental health. Over the years, the former Dallas Mavericks player has been in and out of federal custody and has been spotted on the streets as well.

The latest news on the block reported by TMZ was that the former defensive juggernaut was booked under four charges for trespassing as well as refuting against the police. West was caught trespassing in a car and was also under the influence of alcohol according to the charges placed by Fairfax County Police Department.

As this is not the first time he has been caught by the cops, it is a little concerning considering that he was on a good path. Delonte West was once charged with being armed with three guns in a guitar case while speeding. The baller served jail time after admitting to his crime in 2009.

Last year, he also was arrested in South Florida city after publicly screaming profanities and drinking alcohol, as reported by NBC 6. Several of his former NBA associates have tried helping him out and getting him through rehab, but it is apparent that West is still struggling to get a grip on himself.

Delonte West was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 2004 where he played his first three seasons. He averaged a career-high of 12.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game with them in 2006 before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. There, he played alongside LeBron James who was closing in on his MVP years.

After bouncing between the Cavaliers and OKC Thunder, he finally made the roster of the Dallas Mavericks after their title victory. Following that stint in the NBA, he flew overseas to play for the Chinese Basketball Association. He recently even tried out of the Big 3 league and even got through as well, until his unlawful history repeated itself.
