“I was in a DARK place” Former NBA Player who Kim Kardashian have divorced after 72 days reveals how the world hates on him

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries at their wedding

In a huge wedding that cost millions of dollars and was shown in a two-hour Keeping Up With the Kardashians special, Kim Kardashian married the basketball player Kris Humphries back in 2011. The pair got engaged just five months into their rollercoaster affair, and they later were married at the luxurious ceremony. At the £6 million event when the couple exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, Kim looked stunning in her Vera Wang gown. But the developing relationship was bound to dissolve in a few of months, becoming known as one of the shortest Hollywood weddings ever. Kim made headlines when she unexpectedly filed for divorce from the NBA player just 72 days after their wedding.

There are advantages and disadvantages to being an NBA superstar. The fame and money that come with playing the game seem great, but the added burden can be too much at times. Kris Humphries, the former NBA player, provided an excellent explanation of this. The former Nets player discussed his difficulties with playing basketball in a recently discovered article. Humphries emphasized how he handled his severe anxiety and other mental health problems while in crowds. Strangely enough, Humphries is most recognized for marrying a Kardashian, in addition to his basketball abilities.

Who is Kris Humphries and what happened with him and Kim Kardashian?

Kris Humphries was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 14th overall pick in the 2004 draft. Before moving on to the Toronto Raptors, he played there for two seasons. He played for 8 squads over his 16 years in the league and retired after the 2016–17 campaign with averages of 6.7 points, 0.7 assists, and 5.4 rebounds. After their divorce, he moved around the league, playing for a variety of clubs, including the Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns, and Washington Wizards for no more than one season each. Later on, the Hawks re-signed him for his last season. Humphries was moved to the Philadelphia 76ers, but after appearing in a preseason game, he was released.

For The Players’ Tribune, Kris published an essay titled “I Never Wanted to Be That Guy” in which he claimed that he should have realized what he was getting himself into while dating and married Kim. He recalled: “There was about a year where I was in a dark place. I didn’t want to leave my home. You feel like … I don’t know … the whole world hates you, but they don’t even know why.“ He went on to add: “I didn’t want to be Kris Humphries. It’s the craziest feeling in the world, not wanting to be yourself. And I didn’t even want to say anything to defend myself, because it felt like I couldn’t win.“

His unpredictable basketball career has been tied to the famed Kardashian since it came after his disastrous marriage to the prominent celebrity family. That would also explain why we haven’t heard from him in a while and why teams prefer to discard the power forward so soon. Kris Humphries went back to his regular, everyday life despite the uncertainty of his professional basketball career hanging over him. During the holidays, he spends time with his family and drinks Five Guys shakes like the rest of us.
