“Get the hell out” Gary Payton II and Jordan Poole get humiliated during Lynx vs Wings before Game 3 showdown

Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II were booed

Gary Payton II and Jordan Poole thought they would go out and get some fresh air as they spectated the WNBA game between the Minnesota Lynx and the Dallas Wings. The Dallas fans saw the pair from Golden State and decided to take their frustration out as they got booed by the arena in Dallas. This event occurred a day before Warriors took a dominating 3-0 lead in the series against the Dallas Mavericks. The vintage, ‘3rd-quarter Warriors’ stormed Dallas and poster dunked their way as Curry dropped 31 points while the Man of the Match, Andrew Wiggins, bagged 27 points, as Warriors picked up a 109-100 victory.

The duo were in attendance at a Dallas Wings WNBA game at the University of Texas at Arlington’s College Park Center on Saturday, less than a half an hour away from where the Mavs hosted Poole and the Dubs in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. It all seems to be a spiraling black hole for Luka Doncic who tried to carve path of hope for the Mavericks with 40 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists, but fate did not favor him again.

Stephen Curry was once again the spearhead of the Warrior’s offense as he finished the game with 31 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds on 10-of-20 shooting and 5-of-10 from beyond the arc. Wiggins produced a playoff career-high in scoring with 27 points, 11 rebounds and three assists while also throwing down a highlight-reel poster dunk on Luka Doncic. Klay Thompson bagged 19 points as Jordan Poole and Draymond Green scored 10 points apiece.

With Golden State dominating Dallas in the Western Conference Finals, the Dallas fans have reason to be salty with the Warrior’s players. Even though Poole had on a Wings jersey, it wasn’t enough to spare him the boos from the watching Dallas faithful. Poole and Payton sat courtside on Saturday, watching the Wings handle the visiting Minnesota Lynx 94-78.

That Wings jersey did, however, explain why their presence, Poole was rocking Arike Ogunbowale’s No. 24. Ogunbowale and Poole both grew up in Milwaukee and went to high school  Ogunbowale finished with 20 points and 7 assists in the win. Payton and Poole were shown on the big screen in the arena, and the crowd let them know exactly what they think of them.

Gary Payton II, who suffered a fracture in the left elbow in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals, with a nasty collision against Dillon Brooks, is making good progress in his recovery process. He has been spotted doing various light individual on-court activities and will be re-evaluated again in one week, hopefully available for the NBA Finals once the Warriors reach there.

Poole and Gary just seemed amused more than heckled, as the Dallas crowd gave a glimpse of how it will make the American Airlines Centre, a hot cauldron to suffocate the Golden State Warriors invincible run in this series. Poole in particular has been instrumental in that, averaging 22 points in the first 2 games and making a massive difference for the Warriors bench unit.

The efforts of the people of Dallas were in vain, and they suffered a crushing defeat for Dallas in Game 3. No team wants to fall behind by three games in a playoff series, as the Mavs try to find a glimmer of hope to work with. Golden State have slammed their foot down and have been dominant through this entire series, they are now just one win away from reaching their sixth NBA Finals in eight years. However ,can the Dallas Fans give the team strength to pull one back? It remains to be seen, as for Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II, they will be avoiding a Dallas Wings game in the foreseeable future.
