Renowned FS1 analyst, Chris Broussard, recently sparked conversations about a potential dream team-up in the NBA, suggesting the Golden State Warriors as the ideal landing spot for the Milwaukee Bucks’ star, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

During his appearance on the “First Things First” show, Broussard said, “He and Steph, is that even possible? But there this no place I’d rather see Giannis playing than with Steph Curry, because I think it would be so awesome to see those two together.”

While Antetokounmpo has two more seasons under contract with the Bucks, he possesses a player option for the 2025-26 season. This makes the possibility of him joining forces with Stephen Curry, who would be 37 and in his 17th NBA year by 2025, an intriguing prospect.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, in a recent conversation with Tania Ganguli of the New York Times, indicated that his continuation with the Bucks depends on the organization’s commitment to championship aspirations. His words reflect the sentiment of many players prioritizing rings over team loyalty.

Broussard firmly advised against Giannis’ extension with the Bucks, even if the team wins another championship title. Highlighting the challenges the Bucks face, Broussard emphasized, “He’s got two years left. Khris Middleton is banged up, Jrue Holiday is talking about retiring after the next two seasons. No one will kill you for leaving there with just one title. You got Milwaukee its first title since Kareem. They certainly can’t crush you if you leave with two.”

The Bucks are in a difficult position. Winning the loyalty of their franchise player is crucial. However, with the possibility of trades coming, as stated by Broussard, the team must ensure their long-term goals align with Giannis’ aspirations for championships.

This narrative intensifies with Broussard’s reference to other teams like the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, and even the LeBron-AD duo in the Los Angeles Lakers, raising the pressure on the Bucks to continue competing in an NBA that is becoming more and more competitive.
