“He’s a real bipolar, he’s not that Kanye bipolar, that fake one,” Gilbert Arenas compares mental health of Ben Gordon who was stabbing random people with Kanye West

Gilbert Arenas and Ben Gordon
Earlier this month former NBA star Ben Gordon shocked the NBA world after he was detained following a bizarre incident where he tried to stab people with sewing needles. Sharing his take on players’ mental health former All-star Gilbert Arenas spoke about the incident and how difficult it is to deal with bipolar disorder while being an athlete and brought Kanye West into the conversation.
In the video, Arenas was questioned about the stabbing incident brought on by Gordon’s attempt to stab innocent individuals. The former player then spoke about several sportsmen who were bipolar. He said, “I think he might be bipolar. He’s a real bipolar, he’s not that Kanye [West] bipolar, that fake one. This is a real bipolar, when you’re bipolar and you’re an athlete, you gotta remember, you can run down the rabbit hole of that sport.”
He added, “Getting better, watching a film, there are so many things that keep you occupied and that under control. You got the medical staff, making sure you’re gonna get the medicine every day. You have this wall around you, where you don’t have episodes. Cause you gotta remember, you’re being monitored every day.”
Arenas further said, “When these players are done, who’s giving them the stuff? So now, you’re gonna have a guy who hasn’t been on his meds, for two, or three weeks. You gotta remember, them two, three weeks, he’s never had that in his life. This is a whole new human being.” While there haven’t been any recent developments about the condition of the former Sixth Man of the Year there is still optimism that he may soon get the right assistance he requires.
