Fans become excessively hateful over Ja Morant and his father after the first-round series

To be a player and witness criticism for the way you carry yourself on the court is a different situation than being a player’s parent who comes to cheer their son while he performs on the biggest stage of his life. Ja Morant’s father Tee Morant was actively taking part in interviews along with the father of a Minnesota Timberwolves player. Despite the trash talk, it was evident that it was only meant to be sarcastic or friendly.
One fan came to their father-son duo’s defense on Twitter saying, “Hating on Ja Morant for being an active Twitter user just like you and having fun on the court is so weird but hating on his dad for just vibing, watching his son play basketball, and respecting other NBA greats is even weirder. Sports fans just want something to be mad about.” The NBA All-Star replied to the tweet saying, “f* em we ball.”
Ja Morant speaks on the unfortunate Game 1 loss against the Warriors

Round two of the playoffs began two nights ago for the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors. Even while being down a player, the Dubs managed to limit the Grizzlies players from cutting through the basketball and shooting from a distance. Ja Morant had missed a last-second layup while being contested by Klay Thompson.
Stephen Curry did a great job locking up on the Memphis star holding him away from scoring like he usually would. Ja said to the media, “I missed the layup I normally make. All the time. On to the next one.” He finished the game with 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists shooting 14-31 from the field. Both teams will face each other tonight at the FedEx Forum Arena, Memphis, Tennessee.
