Luka Doncic and Hassan Whiteside gets into a Scrimmage
An argument started between Utah’s big man Hassan Whiteside and Mavericks superstar guard Luka Doncic later turned into a scrimmage as players from both teams went berserk which resulted in the halting of the play during Game 5 of round one on Monday night.
The whole Jazz squad was struggling in the Game 5 against the Dallas Mavericks, Although Utah has shown some great games as they previously tied the series by 2-2, this time they failed to stop the Luka led Mavericks from getting the victory by 102-77 and have lost the lead by 3-2 in series. The Jazz showed the worst performance of the series and scored only 55 points in the first three-quarters of the game.

The frustration of getting an embarrassing loss against the Mavs, was clearly visible on the face of every Jazz player. But this frustration took a wild turn when both the team started an old-fashioned fight on the court. Here’s what actually happened, in the mid of the fourth quarter, Doncic was on his way to put a poster dunk on Jazz but got a fierce block from Utah’s Whiteside and the Mavs star guard fell to the ground.
Later, the whole Mavs team started swarming on Utah’s big man, and a lot of shoving between Hasan and Dorian Finney-Smith, Reggie Bullock took place during the brawl. As a result, Hassan got ejected from the game for pushing Mavs players, and the two players who shoved him also faced some outcome of the fight. However, the brawl was stopped by the officials before it could have gone more physical.

Mavs star Luka Doncic opens up about the brawl that took place between him and Jazz center Hassan Whiteside
Against the Jazz, Luka Doncic was just playing his second game of the series after he returned after recovering from his calf injuries. He scored 33 points and was 11 of 22 from the field and was 3 of 10 from behind the arc. After the game ended the Mavs, all-star talked about the fight that took place in between the game, during the post-game interview.
Doncic stated, “It was nothing, it’s playoffs, man. There’s going to be always attention, but it was nothing. I tried to dunk it. Wasn’t successful. These things happen in the playoffs.”
