Led by Kawhi Leonard, who’s averaging 34.5 points versus the Suns, Clippers will now host Phoenix for the next two games. After a surprising Game 1 loss, the Suns, filled with star power will look to not let it happen again. Though who will step up from the Clippers?

Westbrook without a doubt has been dominating in this series. He scored 28 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 5 assists in Game 2. Not only that, but his Game 1 performance was full of effort, with 11 boards, 2 steals, and 3 blocks in his stat sheet. Russ did his all defensively and offensively in both games. Alongside Leonard’s scoring, Westbrook has been active on both ends of the floor. Though as we approach Game 3, Skip Bayless doesn’t expect a similar performance from Russ.

Skip argued that the Sun’s big four were against Clippers’ big one. “Number zero has played way out of his mind and way over his head. I don’t even recognize him, I don’t know who he is. And I think he will get exposed starting tonight.”, said Skip regarding Westbrook’s performance. Russ locked out on the Suns defensively, which was pretty unexpected to see. The team is filled with 4 All-Stars and 3 of the elite scorers, Phoenix is facing a challenge against the Clipper team which as of now is without another one of its main scorers, Paul George.

With the series continuing at Clippers’ home court, Westbrook’s energy on the floor will only increase. On the other hand, Phoenix, led by Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, both averaging 25+ points a game will take on Kawhi and Russ on their floor. This series has definitely picked up the pace within the first two games. Watching the stars battle it out in the first round, the entertainment won’t stop.

With less than 12 hours to go to Game 3, it will be interesting to see how Westbrook answers back to Skip’s comments. Will Westbrook shine again against his former teammate? Let us know in the comments.
