“This is a business” Heat star Jimmy Butler gets brutally honest about supposed revenge narrative vs Sixers
Jimmy Butler
Given the opportunity to throw his former team over the edge of the cliff, Jimmy Butler made the full use of it as he led Miami Heat with 30 points in Game 6, to make them the first team of the 2021-22 playoffs to book a slot in their respective Conference Finals. With the media setting the stage for Butler having extra motivation to beat his former team, he dropped truth bombs upon the same.
After Miami Heat emerged victorious with a 99-90 victory at Wells Fargo Center, Jimmy Butler was asked that if he has any ill feelings towards his former team? To those who are not aware, Sixers let Butler walk away as a free-agent back in 2019, when he joined Miami Heat. Take a look at his opinion.

What was opinionated by Jimmy Butler?
“This is a business. It didn’t work out. I’m not complaining. I love being in Miami,” Butler said, via Dan Gelston of the Associated Press.
Jimmy Butler may be an emotional guy but the Miami Heat star/leader also understands how this game works. He may not have felt good about the Sixers letting him go but right now, he is surely in a better place. After all, it’s the Heat who are moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals while the Sixers head to another early summer vacation.
Would things be any different if the Philadelphia 76ers would have picked Jimmy Butler instead Ben Simmons in the first place? Remains to be a matter speculation. But for now, all eyes will be on Miami Heat and who will they lock horns against. Will it be Jayson Tatum’s Boston Celtics or Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks?
The good part being, Spoelstra have enough time to get all his players ready and get the roster back to its full strength before the start of the EC Finals. Will they once again make an appearance in the NBA Finals? Hopefully, if Butler keeps playing in the form he is right now.
