“He’s got his bag of money sitting there,” Patrick Beverly EMBARASSED $450 million worth Floyd Mayweather and Donovan Mitchell for ‘talking sh*t’
Donovan Mitchell shares a story from the LA Clippers vs Utah Jazz 2021 playoff game
During a Tidal League interview, Donovan Mitchell from the Cleveland Cavaliers reminisced about his time with the Utah Jazz. He recounted a story from a 2021 playoffs match against Patrick Beverley of the Los Angeles Clippers and vividly described the presence of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather sitting courtside.
Patrick Beverley, a defensive stalwart for the Los Angeles Clippers, played a crucial role in their first NBA Western Conference Finals appearance. When facing the Utah Jazz in the semifinals, Beverley’s contributions were pivotal to securing the victory.
During the interview, Mitchell recounted a story of the events that unfolded while competing against Beverley in the series.
We're playing against the Clippers. Floyd was sitting court-side. Now I'm hyped, because I ain't never had nobody like this sitting courtside. And he's talking to me. Patrick Beverley was on the Clippers at the time, and I'm not playing well at all.
And [Beverley] was talking. I run off 13 straight off different actions. Now Floyd is hyping me up, talking sh-t to Pat. Pat locked my sh-t up, the rest of the 4th quarter I didn't score a point.
Beverley effectively impeded the progress of the Cavs star(when he was with the Jazz). Despite Donovan Mitchell and his Jazz team losing in the semifinals to the Clippers, the memorable battle against Patrick Beverley will be fondly remembered.
Mitchell and Garland star in win over Orlando Magic

Mitchell showcased his prowess with 35 points, six assists, and seven rebounds, while Darius contributed 26 points, three rebounds, and nine assists. Paolo Banchero led the player stats charts with an impressive 42 points, six rebounds, and one assist. The game marked Garland’s most effective performance this season.
In the ongoing season, Donovan maintains impressive stats, averaging 27.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. Garland closely trails with 19.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 6.1 assists but boasts a superior FG% of 46.9 compared to Mitchell’s 45.1.
